Jennifer Perkins, LMSW, MBA, Tennessee Supreme Court Listed Rule of 31 Family Law Mediator  Since 2023


As a licensed master social worker in Maryville, Tennessee currently working as an addiction specialist, and she has over twenty years of experience with mental health and addiction counseling focusing on trauma, family, and evidenced-based therapeutic interventions. Jennifer is passionate about working with at-risk teenagers and adults who suffer from addiction issues, and she has training in Aggression Replacement Therapy, Trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. She began her career as a program counselor at Peninsula Hospital, and after receiving her bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Tennessee, she specialized in program management and operations. At Helen Ross McNabb Services, she was quickly promoted to program coordinator and later to oversee therapeutic program development and management for numerous mental health and drug rehab programs for the state. Jennifer’s programs received top accolades for the high rate of completion of treatment goals, completion of core program requirements, client satisfaction, and high standards for productivity and licensing compliance. After establishing these strong programs, her path led her to completing a Master’s in Business Administration, and she worked as the Executive Director at First light Homecare of Maryville. In this role, Jennifer established strong community and business relationships, led strategic projects, and facilitated numerous marketing and social media campaigns. During her career, Jennifer has participated in numerous community groups such as Leadership Blount, National Association of Social Workers, NAAACP, and Free Mom Hugs of Tennessee. Currently, she works with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, behavior and personality disorders, addiction issues, foster  are and adoption, and trauma. Jennifer’s desire is to serve and follow Jesus, to serve her community, and to help those find peace, love and self-worth. Jennifer Perkins came back to the cross in summer of 2021. Through Yeshua Ministries, my hope and passion is for everyone to experience what walking in freedom and having self-worth is all about with Jesus Christ. Jesus loved us in our darkest moment, and my goal is for people to feel loved and supported during these dark moments.

I have several years of experience raising a family of my own, and years of psychology to understand them. I have a Bachelors in psychology/ education, a Masters, and a PhD both in the field of forensic psychology. For several years, I worked within family systems doing in-home intensive therapy, while working closely with the Tennessee Department of Children's Services family supports.  Additionally, I worked with a leading Fortune 500 company as a resolution specialist, which enables me to help you find a resolution through mediation for your divorce. I am sensitive to the complexities life brings, and will work with you to help meet the needs of your family. Trained through the Tennessee School of Mediation in Knoxville, I stay up to date on any changes made in the laws concerning divorce and Co-Parenting.
